Early Life and Background

As per the sources, Vipra Mehta was born in 2003 in Rajasthan and grew up in Udaipur, a city often called the “City of Lakes.” Her childhood was shaped by traditional values. In her family, girls were not encouraged to pursue careers in acting or modelling. This made her dream even harder to chase. But Vipra’s determination stood out. She wanted to prove that talent and hard work could break barriers.

Vipra studied at St. Anthony’s Senior Secondary School in Udaipur. Later, she pursued a B.Voc. in Fashion Designing from INIFD Udaipur, which gave her a strong foundation in style and creativity. Alongside this, she also completed a degree in Computer Science Engineering.

Interestingly, Vipra has shared that after three years in engineering, she realised it was not her true path. Fashion and modelling were where her heart belonged. Yet, her technical background gave her discipline and problem-solving skills. This mix of fashion and technology makes her unique among her peers.

Early Exposure to Modelling

Vipra’s first taste of the glamour world came at the age of 16 when she participated in the KITT pageant. For a teenager from Udaipur, this was a bold step. She had little professional training at the time, but her confidence and natural charm stood out. The pageant gave her a platform to understand how competitive modelling worked.

Later, she tried her luck at Femina Miss India, one of the country’s most prestigious beauty contests. Though she did not make it to the top ten, the experience was valuable. To polish her skills further, Vipra joined AJ Modelling School, where she learned the basics of walking on stage, professional communication, and presentation.

Acting Career

In 2021, Vipra made her acting debut in the Rajasthani film “Kesar Kasturi.” The film gave her an opportunity to explore acting alongside modelling. While the movie was regional, it helped her gain recognition in Rajasthan and among local audiences.

Acting was not her primary focus at the time, but the film showed that she could balance both modelling and cinema. Vipra has expressed interest in continuing acting projects in the future, especially films that highlight culture and social themes.

Major Pageant Wins and Titles

Vipra’s career took a sharp upward turn in 2023 when she was crowned Miss Universal Grand India 2023 in Bangalore. In January 2025, she was shortlisted among the top 20 contestants at Miss Diva Beauty Queen 2024.

Her biggest achievement came on 7 March 2025, when she won the Miss Diva Cosmo 2024 crown at the grand finale held at The LaLit in Mumbai. Ketut Permata Juliastrid, the Indonesian Miss Cosmo 2024, delivered the crown. Later in 2025, Vipra represented India at the Miss Cosmo 2025 competition in Vietnam.

Social Work and Philanthropy

Vipra is not only known for her beauty and talent but also for her commitment to social causes. She has worked with several non-profit organisations, most notably Aftertaste, an NGO based in Mumbai. Through this collaboration, she helped women artisans showcase and sell handcrafted products. Vipra even organised a corporate pop-up event where all proceeds went directly to the NGO and the women it supports.

Her environmental work is equally inspiring. Vipra launched an initiative called Guardians of the Lakes, aimed at protecting water bodies at the grassroots level. She extended this effort to Mumbai by joining the “I Pledge Clean Lakes” movement, where volunteers wear badges to symbolise accountability and pride in collective action.
