Early Life and Background
On 3 August 1986, Abhishek was born into a Marwari Jain family in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. His upbringing was rooted in strong cultural values, but he also had a natural interest in performing arts. He spent nearly nine years performing on stage, which gave him confidence and a deep understanding of audience emotions.
After finishing school, Jain pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from BK Majumdar Institute of Business Administration (BKMIBA) in Ahmedabad. He graduated in 2006. To follow his passion, he joined Whistling Woods International in Mumbai in 2008, one of India’s leading film schools.

Apprenticeship in Bollywood

Breakthrough Projects
Abhishek Jain’s debut film Kevi Rite Jaish was released in 2012 and became a turning point for Gujarati cinema. The film ran for 112 days in theatres, a rare achievement for regional cinema at that time. Jain was awarded the Trendsetter of the Year 2012 by the Gujarat Innovation Society for this film.
After the success of his debut, Jain directed Bey Yaar in 2014. This film was about friendship, trust, and values, told through the story of two young men who get caught in a web of greed and art fraud. Bey Yaar became the widest released Gujarati film, screened in 14 countries and running for 54 weeks in theatres.
National Recognition with Wrong Side Raju (2016)
In 2016, Jain co-produced Wrong Side Raju under CineMan Productions in collaboration with Phantom Films, the banner co-founded by Anurag Kashyap. Directed by Mikhil Musale, the film was a thriller based on a hit-and-run case.
