Childhood and Family Roots

Raseshwari Ji was born into a Brahmin family in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. Her family was deeply devoted to Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, and this devotion shaped her early years. Unlike most children, she showed signs of spiritual interest from a very young age. Her father played an important role in nurturing her spiritual journey.

One of the most remarkable stories about her life is the prophecy made when she was just 21 days old. Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, her spiritual master, predicted that she would one day become a preacher of Krishna Bhakti. This prediction was unusual but proved true as she grew up and dedicated her life to spiritual service.

Academic Excellence and Intellectual Foundation

Raseshwari Devi Ji is not only a spiritual leader but also a scholar. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (Honours) and later earned a Master’s degree in English Literature. This academic background gave her the ability to present spiritual concepts logically and clearly.

Spiritual Training Under Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

After completing her studies, she underwent rigorous spiritual training at Kripalu Dham Mangarh in Uttar Pradesh. Within six months, she mastered the scriptures, which is considered extraordinary. On 15 October 1988, she was formally initiated as a preacher by her Guru.

Founding of Braj Gopika Seva Mission

In 1998, Raseshwari Ji founded the Braj Gopika Seva Mission (BGSM) in Odisha. The mission was set up as a charitable and spiritual organisation. Its campus, spread over 40 acres near Bhubaneswar and Chilika Lake, became a centre for devotion and service.

The mission was inaugurated in 2002 by her Guru, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. Since then, BGSM has grown into a major institution, organising spiritual programs, charity work, and youth camps. It has expanded across 140 cities in 11 states of India, touching thousands of lives.

Global Spiritual Outreach

Raseshwari Ji has helped establish 21 meditation centres in countries like England, Germany, Mauritius, and Italy. She also contributed to the development of Radha Madhav Dham in America, one of the largest Hindu temples in North America.

By using digital platforms, she has reached younger audiences worldwide. Her online talks and social media presence make her teachings accessible to people who may never visit her centres physically. This global outreach shows her ability to adapt to modern times while staying rooted in tradition.

Youth and Child-Centric Programs

To nurture this belief, she started special programs like Bal Sanskar Shivir for children and Yuva Utthaan Shivir for youth. Over the years, Raseshwari Devi Ji has received several awards that highlight her contribution to society. In 2018, she was honoured with the Yuva Adhyatmik Guru Puraskar by MIT World Peace University in Pune. This award recognised her efforts in guiding young minds towards spirituality.

In 2019, she received the Adarsh Yuva Adhyatmik Guru Award from Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad. More recently, in 2026, she was presented with the Seva Samman Award at the Odisha Spiritual Conclave. These recognitions show how her work has touched lives across different age groups and regions.

Raseshwari Ji has chosen a life of simplicity and devotion. Raseshwari is unmarried and has dedicated herself completely to spiritual service. Her daily routine reflects discipline, meditation, and service to others.
