This position placed him at the helm of Doordarshan and All India Radio, two institutions that have shaped India’s media landscape for decades.

On 2 December 2025, Navneet submitted his resignation as Chairman of Prasar Bharati. The government accepted his resignation under the provisions of the Prasar Bharati Act, and he was relieved from his post immediately.
